From setup to verified rollback
Configure the price change, review exactly what will move, then follow the live rollout and Revert without losing sight of the original values.
Install SaleScheduler from the Shopify App Store and open it inside Shopify Admin. The app needs product and Files permissions so it can update base variant prices and write the Recovery File. It does not request customer or order scopes.
Choose the local start and end times and confirm the store timezone. Use Live-by when every price should be live by the scheduled start, or Start-at when rollout should begin at that time.
Tip: Live-by is the default. SaleScheduler starts early using the measured ETA plus a safety margin.
Target collections, a manual product list, or all products. Then choose a percentage off, optional .99/.95/.00 rounding, and how compare-at prices should behave.
The default was-price policy sets compare-at to the Snapshot price only when compare-at was empty. Existing compare-at values remain untouched.
Review variant and product counts, sample price changes, rollout ETA, plan capacity, market-price notices, and any overlap with another Sale.
SaleScheduler blocks empty Targets, invalid price math, unresolved hard limits, and over-plan Sales. It never knowingly fires a partial over-limit Sale.
Just before rollout, Preflight checks Shopify access, re-resolves the Target, freezes the Membership, recalculates prices and ETA, captures the Snapshot, and verifies the Recovery File.
Hard gate: If the Recovery File cannot be written and verified, SaleScheduler does not start changing prices.
Follow per-variant progress while the Sale becomes live. If a price or compare-at value changes outside SaleScheduler, that variant is marked as Drift and leaves app ownership.
With the default Preserve End Policy, drifted variants enter the Decision Tray at the end so you can compare Snapshot, Sale, and current values before choosing Restore or Keep.
At the scheduled end, app-owned variants return to their exact Snapshot price and compare-at value, including clearing compare-at where the original value was empty.
Check the completed counts and any Decision Tray items. If you need to return early, use Emergency Restore; it is safe to trigger more than once.
